European children’s education under control by the FEMM Committee
Rodrigues report “Emancipation of Young girls by education in the EU” seeks to re-educate the young Europeans following gender ideology stereotypes.
Madrid, June 23 2015 – Last week, without any legal basis and in contradiction with all the international and European treaties, the Rodrigues report was adopted by the FEMM Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality was adopted by the European FEMM Committee by 21 votes from the leftist Members of Parliament..
Rodrigues report imposes gender ideology at school and aims at defining the way European children and youngsters must think and behave:
ü 1.Calls on the Commission and the Member States to implement measures to apply gender equality at all levels of the education system and in teacher training and the creation of mechanisms, throughout the education system, to facilitate the promotion, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of gender equality in educational institutions;
ü 16.Calls for the need to include, both in the initial and ongoing training of teachers, strategies to reflect on their own identity, beliefs, values, prejudices, expectations, attitudes and gender representations, as well as on their teaching practices, in order to remove any obstacles to realising girls' full potential;
The approval of this report was a clear violation of all international and European covenants and Treaties since it represented the infringement of freedom of thought, freedom of speech, right to private life, as well as the denial to the rights of parents to be the primary and principal educators of their children.
Even the Socialist Group of the European Parliament S&D recommended to other political groups to reject the amendment by mentioning the UN Declaration of Universal Rights.
Finally, once again,the FEMM Committee tables a Report that seriously violates the fundamental Principle of Subsidiarity of the European Union, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Pact on Civil and Political Rights.
Women of the World Platform co-signed a the letter by Europe for Family (attached). WoW Platform firmly condemns the Rodrigues report and reaffirms that many aspects of the Woman-Man equality would be worth investigating by the FEMM Committee for a better construction of the European Union.
